A wealthy Osage woman who inherits oil headrights and marries Ernest Burkhart. As members of her family are systematically murdered by Hale's conspiracy, she becomes a primary target. She seeks help from the federal government and hires a private detective. Despite surviving repeated poisonings of her insulin, she ultimately leaves Ernest when he denies his crimes. She survives the immediate threat but dies later of diabetes-related complications.
