A workaholic advertising executive who meets Sara Deever at the DMV. After being fired and dumped, he agrees to spend a month with her in November. They fall in love, and he befriends a young boy named Abner. Upon discovering Sara has terminal cancer, he proposes marriage but is pushed away to protect him. He later returns for Thanksgiving and shares a final day with her before she leaves him with a blindfold to preserve their happy memories.
