Takabe's wife who suffers from schizophrenia and frequently gets lost in their neighborhood. Takabe has a vision of her hanging herself and subsequently commits her to a mental hospital. Her decomposed corpse is later discovered by a nurse with a large X savagely carved into her throat.
Takabe is the husband of Fumie, who struggles with severe mental illness.
