Mountie sergeant assigned to locate fugitive John Flower. He recognizes Marie's voice, travels through the wilderness with her, saves her from drowning, and pursues her to find Jack. He arrests John despite Marie's pleas, but later reconciles with her, culminating in a musical duet.
