Marie's brother, an escaped armed robber who wounded a Mountie during his breakout. He hides near Lake Chibougam, is nursed by Boniface's mother, attempts to reform with Marie's financial aid, but is ultimately captured by Sgt. Bruce. His final fate remains unknown.
