A local biology teacher and mother of "Professor". She assists Richard in investigating the monster, identifies its claw composition, and devises an electrical trap to kill it. When the trap fails, she broadcasts a live TV appeal urging residents to destroy their closets, which ultimately starves the monster of energy and saves the town.
