An Armenian exile who becomes the central leader of the Manouchian Group. Initially reluctant to kill due to his personal ethics, he adapts to the harsh realities of war. Under his guidance, the 23-member unit evolves into a highly organized armed resistance network that carried out most of the combat actions in Paris during 1943.
