The aggressive, lustful second son and Pearl's primary romantic antagonist. He pursues Pearl, kills her fiancé Sam Pierce in a saloon, derails a train, and forces Pearl to hide him. After abandoning her, he shoots his brother Jesse and ultimately dies in a mutual shootout with Pearl in the desert.
