An itinerant strongman and street performer who purchases Gelsomina from her mother. He is brutish and abusive, treating her cruelly despite her devotion. He murders Il Matto in a fit of rage, abandons the traumatized Gelsomina, and is later consumed by guilt and grief upon learning of her death.
He trains her for their street performance act.
