A migrant farmer heading to the Salinas lettuce fields. He initially expresses eagerness to claim the $1,000 reward for turning in Bill Clark but is persuaded by his wife to show mercy. Tragically, he is severely injured in a car accident shortly thereafter, which precipitates his wife's decision to betray Bill for the money.
