Local grocer and member of the town's secret card-playing council. He warns Robert during Ingelise's funeral that the townsfolk suspect Jørgen of murder. Later, he shelters Dorthe and participates in the final confrontation with Robert, explicitly stating that the group knows his involvement in the deaths and claiming him as their new ally.
