A miner who participates in a nighttime shootout with Baldwin-Felts agents. Though wounded, he successfully identifies the company spy Lively before collapsing. He later recovers enough to return to the camp and alert the miners to Lively's betrayal, prompting them to destroy the spy's restaurant.
