The driver of the stagecoach attacked by the Shoshone. Rescued by Barstow's troops, he interacts with the captive Shoshone scouts, deduces they are led by Chief Man Dog, and warns the Confederates of the impending tribal return. He successfully escapes the mountain alongside Johanna and Rickey.
