A wealthy, cynical society figure and friend to Dorian, Basil, and Alan. He actively corrupts Dorian by preaching the supreme value of youth and beauty over morality or marriage. As Dorian indulges in excess, Henry ages naturally, becoming increasingly disturbed by his friend's eternal youth. He later observes Dorian's cover-up of Basil's disappearance with detached amusement.
