A broke companion Connor meets in Sydney. He persuades Connor to assist in a gambling house robbery that ends in a shooting. They flee to the ranch together. Gamble lacks Connor's conscience, attempts to shoot Trooper Len during the chase, and is ultimately fatally shot by him.
