Vlada's teenage son, who is initially emotionally distant from his father. After the journey, Vlada attempts to reconnect by sharing a personal story and giving him a music cassette. Ivan eventually listens to the tape with a friend, ending the film with a renewed sense of purpose as he declares his desire to start a band.
