A police inspector initially targeted by Rose for revenge after his officer killed her father, he is also the father of Jimmy. Bing Murdock attempts to assassinate him but mistakenly kills another officer. After Jimmy confesses, he recognizes the genuine love between Rose and Jimmy and formally approves their relationship.
