A loyal samurai servant and skilled spear carrier who travels with his master Sakawa Kojūrō and fellow servant Genta. He helps capture a disguised thief, avenges his master and friend by killing a group of arrogant samurai, and returns home bearing their ashes while warning a young boy against becoming a samurai.
