Ostrik's father who plays dominoes with friends every Sunday while discussing social and political issues. Despite a losing domino streak temporarily shaking the drivers' confidence, he delivers a passionate speech about revolution. Tragically, he is killed in a fight with his wife's lover before assuming the union presidency.
