British teenager adopted by his wealthy uncle Charles. Initially inept, he is introduced to the free-wheeling 1970s European lifestyle. He becomes infatuated with his uncle's wife, Martha, who seduces him and manipulates him into an attempted murder plot. After accidentally drowning Martha during the scheme, he resumes his close relationship with his uncle.
