Edgar's criminal son, lured to the manor by Walter with promises of money to find the missing will and eliminate the cat. He captures Tabitha but later turns against Walter, fearing betrayal, by releasing the cat into Walter's bedroom. Jacob meets his end while chasing Tabitha onto the roof, where he slips and falls to his death.
