A traveling con-man and gambler who partners with Cyril to swindle bookies using delayed radio broadcasts. He schemes with Don to place late bets, attempts to seduce Dinah, and gets involved in illegal gambling. After being thrown into a river, he survives, infiltrates Sel Bishop's homestead to recover his winnings, and ultimately escapes with the group. He drives off with Cyril at the end.
