Protagonist train driver who accidentally kills multiple people and loses his girlfriend on the tracks. He saves a suicidal youth, adopts him, and eventually supports his dream of becoming a driver despite his own trauma. Willing to sacrifice himself to cure the boy's depression, he becomes a passenger as the boy takes over the controls.
