Adopted son of Ilija. Originally a suicidal youth saved by the protagonist, he becomes determined to follow Ilija into the train driver profession. Plagued by anxiety and depression over failing to hit anyone, he ultimately fulfills his dark cycle by running over Ljuba the Maniac, becoming the train driver by the film's end.
Ilija takes legal and emotional responsibility for Sima after rescuing him from suicide.
