The Lady of the Lake and High Priestess of Avalon. She orchestrates the birth of the destined king, trains Morgaine as a priestess, and brokers a pact giving the enchanted sword to the king in exchange for political compromise with both Avalon and Christianity. She fiercely protects pagan traditions but dies accidentally when attacked during the palace confrontation.
