A teenage PFC from a military family eager to honor his lineage. He distinguishes himself in combat by destroying an enemy machine gun and a tank, earning a promotion to corporal and serving as Lt. Col. Corbett's driver. After learning his brother was killed, he seeks vengeance but is ordered home. He is later wounded during the Chinese night attack and evacuated.
