Julien's father and a local villager. He secretly shelters two Jewish boys, André and Jacob, whose parents were deported. When confronted by occupiers, he is arrested due to his own Jewish ancestry. He understands and supports Julien's sacrificial lie. He is ultimately deported with the boys, receiving a morale-boosting letter from Charlotte before departure.
