Son of Danny Shields. Initially associated with a criminal group and facing a murder charge, he is acquitted with Leslie Pagan's assistance. He later serves as a seaman aboard the merchant ship Milano, where he ultimately sacrifices his life to save the vessel and Pagan's son John during a wartime attack.
