A henchman for crime lord Vogel who is imprisoned for stealing loot in revenge for his lover's murder. He fakes suicide to escape, bribes a nurse, and teams up with Quentin. Despite repeatedly trying to get rid of him, he relies on Quentin, falls for a homeless woman resembling Vogel's wife, and helps incapacitate Vogel in a final shoot-out.
Both characters form a pragmatic alliance to flee incarceration.
