Niece of Prof. Lidenbrock and Axel's fiancée. She accompanies the expedition, accidentally drops the water supplies, falls into a bog and is rescued by Olsen. At the dead-end grotto, she requests Olsen's help to trigger their escape. She later marries Axel.
