The estranged son of Big Dan and brother of Clay. He leaves the ranch after a mob lynches Jivaro Burris, whom he tried to save. He later returns to sabotage his father's authority through intimidation and a cattle stampede, eventually confronting and overpowering Big Dan. He reconciles with Aleta and ultimately witnesses his father's death after a tense standoff.
