The aging, authoritarian father and former lawman. His rigid enforcement of the law leads to Jivaro's lynching and the estrangement of his sons. He retaliates against Daniel's sabotage, kills Chad Burris, and ultimately confronts his family's rebellion, dying after refusing to kill Daniel.
