Protagonist who moves to Chennai from Coimbatore with his friend Gopal. He becomes tenants with Sumithra, and their initial fights evolve into love. After being falsely framed for a theft and blamed for goon attacks orchestrated by Mahesh, he shares his tragic childhood backstory with Paattiamma. He pays medical bills, attempts suicide, but is saved by Sumithra, ultimately overcoming the villain's schemes to live happily with her.
