Edmond's former lover who is convinced by Villefort and Fernand that he has been executed for treason. She marries Fernand but later recognizes the disguised Count. She helps soften his vengeful heart, reveals she only married Fernand because she was pregnant with Edmond's son, and ultimately reconciles with him.
