A dancer and Joey's wife who becomes entangled with the Murder, Inc. syndicate. After mob enforcer Abe Reles rapes her and threatens her life, she bravely cooperates with prosecutor Burton Turkus, identifying key gang members. While staying at a hotel, she ventures onto a pier to persuade Joey to testify, only to be brutally murdered by a mob assassin, which ultimately galvanizes Joey to speak out.
