Sam McQuade's wife and Vance Britten's former fiancée who he left to join the Confederacy. Misidentified initially as Jeb's former love, she confronts her husband and later angrily rejects Vance's explanations. After the final battle, she departs eastward with a promise to reunite with Vance in the future.
