Molly's son initially involved in gambling and corrupt deals with Gil Warren. He romances saloon singer Belle, later marrying her to prevent testimony against him. Torn between reformist brother Jack and his own dishonesty, he learns the fire's true cause, aids Jack, fights Warren's thugs, saves families, and reconciles with Belle.
