Gretel's younger brother who accompanies her into the forest. He is temporarily saved by a hunter, stays at the witch's cottage, and is eventually lured into a trap. He is drugged and imprisoned over a fire pit until Gretel kills the witch, which frees him. He is sent back home afterward.
