A fugitive photographer whose real name is Sam Farber. He steals a prototype camera capable of recording visual memories for the blind. Pursued across continents, he travels to capture places for his blind mother, Edith. After surviving a plane crash and staying at his father's isolated lab, he struggles with the technology's side effects and addiction before being cured by an Aboriginal ritual. He ultimately reconnects with his lost family from afar.
