Sam's reclusive father and a pioneering scientist who invented the prototype camera and dream-recording technology. He operates a heavily shielded laboratory in an Australian cave to conduct his experiments away from the outside world. Despite conflicts with his son and local Indigenous assistants, he persists in testing the technology on himself and the group until he is eventually captured by the CIA and later dies.
