14-year-old son of Lydia. Banished to Wyoming with her, he becomes one of only two students who read at school. After a mutual discovery with Maurey leads to her pregnancy, they grow close. He experiences dream fantasies featuring Drew Barrymore and ultimately finishes a flashback narrative at the film's conclusion.
