Gordon Phillips' wealthy and snobbish aunt. During a scarlet fever quarantine, she attempts a Pygmalion-style makeover of Amarilly to teach her high-class manners. Upon discovering Gordon's love for Amarilly, she turns hostile and tries to humiliate the girl by hosting a pretentious party for her working-class family, ultimately reinforcing Amarilly's appreciation for her roots.
