Darren Treacy (Robert Sheehan) returns to Dublin from Spain, having spent time there while trying to avoid the Gardai in Ireland for gun possession. Darren's brother Robbie (Chris Newman) is released from Wheatfield prison (called "Sarsfield" in the episode). While waiting to be collected by Tommy, Robbie is shot outside a newsagents in a drive by shooting. Darren rings Tommy to see what his delay is, which he covers up since he is sleeping with Darren and Robbie's sister Mary at the time. He is
Natsuki disappears after learning about Kaoru's promise. Ogawa calls Kaoru to ask if he's seen her, which he denies - but he soon calls back.
Ogawa finally feels the joy of teaching as she helps Kaoru learn how to read and write. Later, Momoko tells her that she plans to interview Kaoru.
Ogawa is outraged when Kaoru invites her to a hotel but calms down when he asks her to resume tutoring him. Kawahara questions Momoko about Ogawa.
Despite a surprising declaration from Kaoru, Ogawa says she wants to continue their lessons. Later, Kawahara attempts to make things right with Ogawa.
Kaoru suggests that he and Ogawa go on a farewell trip together. After arriving at Miura Beach, they visit a shrine and write down their wishes.
Ogawa hurries back to school to try and calm a group of parents outraged about her seeing Kaoru. Two police officers question Kaoru at the hospital.
Learning about the incident at the host club, Ogawa hurries to the scene and finds Momoko there. She sees that Kaoru is safe — but quickly passes out.
An exhausted Ogawa arrives at Momoko's apartment. The police perform a compulsory search of the host club and later interview Kaoru.
Ogawa invites Kaoru to her new place and resolves to face her feelings. As he is about to leave the next morning, she makes a surprising suggestion.
Ogawa supports Kaoru's efforts to enroll in a vocational school. Later, Mr. Sakura arranges for her to come visit the students of Hollyhock Class.
