Libby's wealthy husband who fakes his own murder to collect a $2 million life insurance policy and escape bankruptcy. He lives under the alias Jonathan Devereaux in New Orleans. When confronted by Libby, he attempts to have her buried alive in a cemetery mausoleum. He is ultimately shot and killed by Libby during a violent confrontation.
