An older, manipulative bully who initially appears as a protector and father figure to young Romeo and Gavin. He becomes infatuated with Romeo's sister Ladine, pursuing her aggressively. As the story progresses, his true nature emerges: he is volatile, abusive, and sexually predatory, threatening Gavin, forcing Ladine to flee, assaulting Romeo, and violently attacking Bill. His obsession and violence ultimately lead to his confrontation with Joe.
