Buddhist abbot who captures demons and enforces Buddhist law. Initially subdues the Ice Harpy and teams up with Neng Ren to hunt a bat demon. He warns Susu about her demon nature, gives Xu Xian a demon-killing dagger, and later battles Susu and Qingqing to protect the world. Ultimately traps Susu in the Lei Feng Pagoda after a fierce confrontation, questioning his own rigid devotion before recommitting to his path.
