The sister of government scientist Arthur Vincenti. Initially, she mistakenly believes Dr. Snow abducted her brother and has him arrested. To maintain secrecy over the Vincenti affair, Dr. Snow forces her into a sham engagement, claiming they are having a lovers' quarrel. By the end, she contemplates turning their fabricated engagement into a real relationship.
