A fascist militant recruited by Cremona bosses to capture anti-fascist professor Bonafè in exchange for a promotion. He pursues Bonafè across war-torn Italy, experiencing numerous mishaps including vehicle breakdowns, German imprisonment, and theft of his clothes. Despite his incompetence and attempts to desert, he relentlessly recaptures Bonafè. Ultimately, he is saved from a lynch mob by Bonafè, who sacrifices his own chance at safety to help Primo blend into the Allied liberation.
