Agnes Chisolm is a social worker who arrives with the police to investigate the children's unconventional handling of their grandfather's remains. She conducts interviews with the kids and initially considers removing them from their parents' custody. However, after speaking with Lottie and observing the widespread public support and parental solidarity, she concludes her investigation and allows the family to remain intact.
