An army soldier and Rosario's boyfriend who joins the guerrilla resistance after the Japanese invasion. He returns to town multiple times, grappling with Rosario's changed circumstances and pregnancy. He confronts her, throws away her rosary, and later collapses wounded at her doorstep. After recovering, he is released by Masugi. Crispin ultimately finds Rosario's dead body and is entrusted with their infant son.
